Based from their Warrington Offices you would be joining an existing Commercial team reporting directly to the Commercial Manager.  You’ll be responsible for the commercial control of various main-contract and sub-contract packages for a major retail chain, the tendering and appointment process, materials procurement, cost control and final accounts. 

You’ll demonstrate your expertise for controlling all surveying aspects of contracts. Using your strong project surveying skills you’ll ensure that all costs are effectively managed and income is maximised on all projects and ensure projects are consistently delivered on time and within budget.

• Advising on procurement strategy

• Identifying, analysing and developing responses to commercial risks

• Preparing and analysing costing for tenders

• Tender adjudication and procurement of subcontractors

• Attending site surveys/scope of works meetings

• Commercial management of subcontractors

• Negotiation of final accounts

• Preparing tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities

• Performing risk and value management and cost control

• Prepare and present project cost reports

• Analysing outcomes and preparing detailed progress reports

• Valuing completed work and arranging payments with our Finance Team

• Maintaining awareness of the different building contracts in current use
